SKINCARE ADVICE

What is a HydraFacial Treatment?

What is a Hydrafacial treatment?

Hydrafacial is well known for deep cleaning, exfoliating, extracting and hydrating your skin, leaving it glowing after just one treatment.

Do Hydrafacials really work?

Yes! Hydrafacials do work. They are great to have before an event as it will leave your skin looking fresh, glowing and much healthier! We also show you the famous ‘gunk tank’ after your treatment to see what we have extracted from your skin!

What happens in a Hydrafacial?

The Hydrafacial includes a cleanse which resurfaces the skin, removes dead skin cells and preps the skin for the remaining steps. A ‘Glysal’ peel which is a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acid will then be applied to the skin to bring everything to the surface and soften blackheads and impurities ready for the next step which is extractions. We then extract and hydrate the skin, removing black heads, white heads and dead skin. To finish a cocktail of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid is applied which will protect and hydrate the skin while also improving texture, clarity and the signs of ageing.

Do Hydrafacials hurt?

No Hydrafacials are pain free and there is no downtime! It’s also a lot more effective than microdermabrasion.

How long do Hydrafacial results last?

Everyone is different but generally results last around 4-6 weeks. Monthly hydrafacials are recommended to maintain the results.

What should you not do after a Hydrafacial?

No waxing or threading for at least 48 hours after treatment. No chemical peels or laser treatments for two weeks after and avoid treatments or products containing acids or enzymes for 48 hours. We also recommend you stop using retinol/vitamin A 48 hours prior to treatment and resume normally two days post treatment. For tretinoin it is advised to stop using 5 days prior to treatment and resume as normal 5 days post treatment.

What are the benefits of a Hydrafacial?

Suitable for all skin types. Long lasting hydration. Immediate radiant results. Painless extractions. Can be a standalone treatment. Can be used in combination with other treatments such as radio frequency and IPL. Personalised treatments for specific concerns are available.

How often should you get a Hydrafacial?

If you are suffering with a specific concern you may want to opt for a hydrafacial once a week for 6 weeks followed by monthly maintenance or you can have a hydrafacial every 4-6 weeks to maintain the results.

Do Hydrafacials remove blackheads?

YES! The hydrafacial technology allows for the removal of blackheads, dirt, dead skin and other impurities without any inflammation caused to the skin. You will be left with clean and clear skin.

Who can have a Hydrafacial?

If you are pregnant or have a shell fish, honey or asprin allergy we wouldn’t be able to treat you. However the hydrafacial is good for all skin types and skin concerns such as anti ageing, acne, pigmentation, inflammation and redness.
