OUR TREATMENTS

WHAT TO
EXPECT

IPL uses light energy to target a certain colour in your skin.

When the skin is heated, your body gets rid of the unwanted cells, and that gets rid of the thing you’re being treated for. Unlike lasers, an IPL device sends out more than one wavelength of pulsating light. It can treat a range of skin conditions at the same time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Can I do IPL after a chemical peel?
We recommend our chemical peel immediately before your IPL treatment for maximum results. When the skin has gently exfoliated the light from the IPL will penetrate better and you will notice a better result and products will penetrate deep too.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE IT DONE ?

Do you peel after IPL?
As the skin heals after treating pigmentation it may start to dry out and peel a little. Apply moisturizing cream in the morning and at night to hydrate the skin.

IS IT PERMANENT?

Which is the better choice IPL or chemical peel?
Why choose? We recommend both on the same day to get the result of both treatments. They complement each other perfectly!! Naturally, we are all fully trained and there are a specific peel and protocol that is used.

More Details

IPL is similar to a laser treatment. However, a laser focuses just one wavelength of light at your skin, while IPL releases light of many different wavelengths, like a photo flash.

The light from IPL is more scattered and less focused than a laser. IPL penetrates down to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without harming the top layer (epidermis), so it causes less damage to your skin.

You begin to see a change in your face within a week to 10 days and on the other treated areas of your body within 6-8 weeks.

To successfully treat your skin with IPL, we usually 3-6 appointments, one month apart.
