SKINCARE ADVICE

Microdermabrasion

Skin exfoliation is required to keep skin healthy and glow.

Microdermabrasion Birmingham

It removes dead dry skin cells that mix with old excess oil, this also reduces any breeding grown for bacteria to grow. It is a slightly abrasive mechanical exfoliation that removes surface dead skin cells.

What happens during Microdermabrasion?

CACI Microdermabrasion facials use an orbital disposable head to slough away all the dead skin cells. Throughout the microdermabrasion treatment LED light therapy is used simultaneously which is clinically proven to stimulate more collagen production and is also renowned for its antibacterial benefits. The treatment is finished off with a hyaluronic mask to complexly soothe and hydrate the skin.

MICRODERMABRASION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is CACI Microdermabrasion the best microdermabrasion I can get?

CACI Microdermabrasion is one of the more gentle versions of microdermabrasion on the market. It combines LED light therapy with its orbital microdermabrasion technique for gentle but effective exfoliation.

Will Microdermabrasion help with my breakouts?

It is well known that over-exfoliating your skin with manual or mechanical exfoliators is not the best option for breakout/acne-prone skins. It can cause the skin to become overactive in a bid to repair its barrier. We would always recommend a peel over Microderm for breakout or acne-prone skins as a peel will help to treat the blocked pore and cause of the breakout rather than just exfoliating the surface of the skin.

Is CACI Microdermabrasion the best option for my skin?

CACI Microdermabrasion is a quick fix facial that will have you glowing for an event the next day. Your skin will be smooth and any makeup you apply will go on nicely. However, depending on your skin concern we do offer other alternatives you may be interested in for a deep, more effective exfoliation, such as: Peels, IPL and Fractional Laser.

Is Microdermabrasion safe?

Microdermabrasion when performed correctly is perfectly safe and should leave you with very little downtime. Some machines can be over abrasive and cause tears in the skin's surface and cause a breakdown in the skin's barrier, which can cause breakouts, sensitivities and in some cases mild temporary inflammation scarring (hyperpigmentation). It is important when considering Microdermabrasion to also consider the correct skincare to run alongside it to get the right benefits of your treatment and make sure you are maximising your treatment effects at home.
